The second card kit from the advent calender from Three Scoops Design contains a flower stamp set, patterned paper, a die and some enamel dots.

On my first card I made my own patterned paper using the smaller stamps from the stampset and four different dye inks from Lawn Fawn. It is very simple and easily done. I started with stamping the sentiments to make sure I got the placement right.

On the second card I cut some stripes of the patterned paper and used the die to make a hidden inlay. The inlay is very hard to see in the pictures – it is easier to see in real life. Then I also stamped a sentiment in Versafine onyx black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

The third card I made twice in two different colors. The flower is stamped on Paint On paper and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I then colored it with cheap waterbased markers by scribling some marker on an acrylic block and then picking it up with a small paint brush.

I really love how they turned out and how well they match the color on the paper. The die I cut from silver cardstock and on the patterned paper I added some of the smaller stamps behind the large flower.
