So… this is my first card of the year, one of many to come I hope. I find it so weird how my creativity comes in waves. I must admit that I was debating whether or not I should/could/would make a card for Birk, or if I should just find one in my stash all finished and ready to go. I find myself reaching for a book instead of a stampset, and if I do think about doing something other than reading my fingers starts iching for knitting (and a bad romantic movie – any will do) ?! And I haven’t knitted anything since the no frills sweater. Do you ever feel the same way?
Well somehow I did make a card today, cause I want to give Birk a personlised card for his birthday. Not that he cares – he is three years old – it’s all about the presents and that’s how it should be
So it’s a stamp set from MFT stamps (Birdie Brown, of course), balloons from Lawn Fawn, copics and distress inks: My favorite recipe for a card all put together. I considered to add a “May you outlast your usual bedtime” sentiment, but since I couldn’t find the space and Birk doesn’t know English anyway, it seemed a bit redundant.
- Saddle up and celebrate from MFT stamps, colored with copics
- Party Balloons dieset from Lawn Fawn, letters are from Panduro Hobby (old set) and number are from Milo’s ABC (Lawn Fawn), heat embossed with white embossing powder from Wow
- Background are distress oxide inks and I have used a cloud stencil from MFT stamps.
