So this was the first card I made when returning to my crafting table after two months summer break. I didn’t have a plan or a sketch in mind – it was an exercise in going with the creative flow. Eventhough I had a lot of cards to do to specific occasions I allowed myself to make this card and get in touch with my creative mojo again. Don’t know about you guys, but I can’t force my creativity. And if I do, nothing good will come of it.
It is my favorite way to make cards. Just to play around, no pressure no nothing. Often that is at times like this I make my favorite cards.
The stamps are from the Critter Clan stampset from MFTstamps. It is a new stampset in my stash, but I think it is retired from MFTstamps. I bought it on a whim when I fell in love with the raccoon and the fox.
I limited the colors to green and grey for the animals, and added a bit of a pink tone in the background. A quite unsual color scheme for me (where’s the blue?!) Since I covered most of the background with the white panel, it is not so easy to see that I actually used the Radiating Halftone background stamp also from MFTstamps. It didn’t stamp that well, so it is very much intentional that I covered it so much up.
