Three Scoops had a cyber crop before New Years, that I sadly couldnt be a part of. But luckily I can still participate in the challenges, so here is my entry.

The first challenge was to make a card from a sketch. I chose a sketch that Janni Hansen (@mitkammer) made. The sketch has a square in the middle, where I used distress ink with a stencil, a sentiment on top, a figure in the buttom left corner and another sentiment (if needed) in the buttom right corner. I actually initial thought that this would be my favorite card of them all, but it is not. I think it turned out to be a little blank in the middle, maybe a bit too much room between the top and the buttom? The sketch is actually made to be a square card, and not a rectangle as mine, so that could be the reason.

The second challenge was to use a photo as inspiration. I chose a photo with four colorfull chairs and used distress ink to make a background with those colors. When I finished the card I didn’t think it looked like the cards I normally make. I realized that it is probably because there is no white on the card. What do you think?

The third challenge was to challenge yourself and use a new technique or new materials. I originally wanted to do paper piecing, but I coulddnt find a suited three scoops stamp so I instead opted to use patterned paper without any colorin, which I am still strugling with. So I stamped and fuzzy cut the koala from three different patterned papers to make my own background.

Materials:
- Three scoops advent calender kits
