I think I have said it before, but I really (really really) want to be better at using patterned paper and I’m trying to use patterned paper more often. So recently when I was shopping (like a kid in a candy store) I bought a paper pad from MFT filled with colorfull patterned paper. I also bought the new birthday buds stamp set from MFT – it is right up my alley! So cutesy and adorable.
I used both on this birthday card that is my entry for the MFT sketch challenge #476. The mouse, gifts and cake are colored with copics and I also used a grey marker to make some shadows on the patteren paper to ground them. To add more dimension I added foam squares behind the blue panel and the mouse. As a finishing touch I added some Nuvo Glitter Drops in white blizzard.
