I hardly ever make Valentine’s Day cards since we don’t really celebrate it, so I had a bit of difficulty figuring out how to participate in the current CASology challenge “sweetheart”. Then I remembered that the Hog heaven stamp set had a hog holding a heart, that would be perfect for this challenge.

The thing about clean and simple cards is that they are so minimalistic that I feel the few elements I use have to be perfect (or as close to perfection as I can get). And I often end up thinking that my coloring isn’t good enough (practice makes perfect at some point I guess) and this card isn’t any exception.
I colored the hog with copics, and to keep the background simple I kept it all white and instead of coloring I made a pattern using a circle die. Some of the pieces I added directly to the card and other I adhered with foam squares to give the background some interest. I actually made a background with the same technique here.

Materials:
- Hog Heaven stamp set from MFT stamps colored with copics.
- Rectangle and circle dies from Lawn Fawn
- Wink of stella
- Red dye ink from Lawn Fawn.
This is wonderful – and I am so in love with those intersecting circles…genius! Thank you for joining us at CASology!
Oh, this is fabulous! Love the sweet pig and super cool background. Thanks for joining us at CASology this week!
