I love this card – maybe I’ll never give it away! I had an idea for this card and I followed it to a tee and it turned out even better than I expected. That hardly ever happens to me, I must admit. Normally when I have a very specific idea my card never turns out how I want it to. So, I almost believe this is a first for me.
I will not lie. The card did require quite a bit of masking and stamping. I masked of the squares one at a time, then stamped the bears, masked the bears and then colored in the background with distress ink and splatters of white paint. Then wait for the splatter to dry and on to the next square untill they were all done. And had I been thinking a bit more ahead I would not have used my memento ink to stamp the bears, because adding distress ink to memento makes the ink smear. Since it was a galaxy background no harm were done, but hopefully I remember this lesson next time.
The bears, balloon and planets I colored with colored pencils and blended with baby oil. As a final touch I added the Dream big sentiment in the middle.
