So we have made it to advent calender kit #3. A much needed kit for me since I’m not very good with masculine card so what a treat! The kit contains a masculine stamp set with a hat and a pair of shoes, patterned paper in black and white, black enamel dots and a stencil.
My first card is clean and simple. I stamped the hat three times with versamark ink on one of the patterned papers and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I added the three hats with foam squares on my card front and added one of the sentiments from the stamp set.
On my second card I started with masking a circle (or rather the negative of a circle). I put the stencil on top of the mask and inked with distress ink (stormy sky and mermaid lagoon), then I rotated the stencil and inked again. I love the effect and how that inking turned out. It almost looks like light on a dancefloor, so I colored the shoes like swing shoes with copics (ok, they should probably have been more white to really be swing shoes, but that was the idea). I couldn’t resist adding a little red. I covered the shoes in wink of stella and glossy accents to really make them shine. As a sentiment I used the same one as on the first card.
The third card is entirely made with the patterned paper and the tillykke-word die that was included in the kit. A fast and easy card to make, but I like it.
