Advent calender kit #4

I love kit #4! It is my favorite of all the kits in the advent calender. There is the cutest koala stamp set, lovely green patterned paper and two circle dies, where one has the sweetest scalloped frame.

The first card is a one layer card. I masked of everything but three circles combined. I stamped the koalas and eucalyptus branch, masked those of and then colored the background with distress inks. Then I colored the koalas and eucalyptus with my polychromos colored pencils and blended with baby oil. As a final touch I added the sentiment.

The second card is a shaker card. I used some of the patterned paper and the circle die on the front of the card. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder. In the background of the shaker window I added eucalyptus, but I think I slightly overfilled the shaker, so it is hardly showing. I’m still struggling with using the right amount of shaker material – either there is too little or too much. On the front of the shaker element I added the big koala, that I colored with copics

The third card is quite simple. The buttom part is made from patterned paper, though I did add the eucalyptus. The three koalas are colored with copics and fuzzy cut before they were adhered to the card. I believe I used glossy accents on all the card for the koalas noses – just to make them extra shiny.

And finally, I want to wich you all a very merry Christimas. I hope that your holiday will be filled with joy and laughter.
